Simple Sandwich / Blogging is important

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I’m just going to splurge about sandwiches: my thoughts, some easy recipes, and yea! Also if you know me personally and you think this is weird sorry….

there are the classic peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter and banana and I’m going to introduce a great sandwich…. the peanut butter and Nutella (sometimes banana ) sandwich.

Blogging is very important, not only to maintain proper grammar and writing skills but also it helps you get into better schools and a better job. if you are thinking about leaving your blog, you may want to rethink it. it’s so much fun! if you don’t think it is, try changing the subject or what you do in it. it may seem like yesterday that you just started blogging, but for me, it’s my fourth year and I couldn’t be happier. blogging takes the pressure and stresses away from everything, and it’s a time just to let your thoughts out and de-stress.

School…

School is almost back in session, which means I have a month of free time… or so I thought… Here’s my busy schedule so you know why my posting will be limited 🙁

This year as many of you know I’m heading into high school, marching band, and volleyball.

Well  I haven’t posted in a while and that’s thanks to swim season and my open gym volleyball days. In August I have tryouts and I have band camp all day! As soon as the month ends, I’m heading back to school (UGH WHYYY).

Ok so now back to why I’m really posting, when school is back in session I never know what to eat for breakfast/lunch! So here’s a quick and easy lunch you can make the night before. These websites are great, so try them out.

Almond Cereal Bars – A mix of protein and your kids favorite cereal

Or something I created that’s good for breakfast and lunch! You take a burrito wrap and spread peanut butter and sprinkle bacon crumbs, then you put the delicious bananas or strawberries on! Lastly drizzle honey on and enjoy. Hope you liked this post, please comment below for more!

Apple Pie Bites

Good Morning!!! I just got back from Punta Cana on Sunday and my Grandpa came home from Texas yesterday. We needed something tasty that’s homemade and also is vegetarian for my Grandpa.

So this morning I made this delicious recipe that I found on Pinterest. They were so easy and quick and not to mention very tasty! The only thing I don’t like is slicing apples which in my opinion can be kind of annoying.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1/4 cup of packed Brown Sugar
  • Apple Pie Spice (It’s just a combo of Cinnamon, Nutmeg and all spice) If your like me and dont have that, just use cinnamon and sugar
  • A handful of chopped Pecans or Almonds
  • 1 (8- ounce) can of Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls

That’s all! You want to preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheet with parchment paper or tinfoil.

So this is where my twist comes in…. I didn’t put any butter in (***GASP***) Yup no butter. Our family is trying to become healthier and the only way to do that is to cut down on sugar and fattening things.

Lay your triangles onto the baking sheet and sprinkle with a generous amount of brown sugar. Then sprinkle with another layer of generous Apple Pie Spice.

Now put about 3 slices on the fatter end of the dough and roll it to the other end.

Bake for about 10-12 minutes 12 is the best for me. If you would like you can put a little bit of butter on top and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Enjoy!

Short Story

Hi! Today I am going to do a short story. My cat passed away two hours ago, pray for her! May 17th, 2016 RIP Sassy the best cat ever, 17 years strong.

“Mom!“, I yelled. “Where is my hat?”, today is my third day back at school after being diagnosed with Cancer. It’s weird to see myself having cancer. I am scheduled to have chemo therapy in two weeks.

I walked toward the stairs as my mom tossed my hat down the stairs with a flick of her wrist. “Honey, calm down. It’s right here.”, my mom said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Everyday I have been wearing a hat, because I think people should get used to seeing me wear it. My mom thinks that I should show my hair while I can, before I’m bald with patches of hair.

Ever since the phone call from the doctor that confirmed my chemo therapy appointment, my stomach has been filled to the top with butterflies.

I hurried to the bus just in time, as I heard the usual “Squeak!” of the bus pull up at my stop. I got up the steps and hear, “Rose! Over here!”. My best friend was there keeping my seat with a grin on her face. That made my uncertainty and nervousness disappear. I had a feeling I was in for quite a morning.

“Rose you’ll never believe this! I made the team!”, Chelsea said as she bounced around in her seat. Sometimes it feels like we’re back in 5th grade when she does that.

Chelsea had dirty blonde hair, with blue eyes, and a sprinkle of freckles across her nose. She was amazing at Lacrosse and always made the highest team. While I, according to Chelsea, am good at swimming. We were both in 9th grade at River Hill High. I looked almost identical to her but my eyes were green, and soon enough my long hair would be down to none.

“Congratulations, did you accept?”, I asked eagerly. “Yes, only someone crazy would decline Rose. Are you nervous for your swim tryouts?”.

UH OH! I completely forgot those were this weekend! “Omigod thanks for reminding me I completely forgot.” I replied quickly. “What’s wrong? Ever since we came back from school you haven’t been quite yourself.” she said suspiciously.

Yikes, what’s my excuse???

“Tests, wayyy to many tests for me to handle.” I said not looking her in the eyes. “That’s a lie, I know it is. What’s actually going on?”

Thanks for reading this part of my short story, believe it or not I just wrote this now. Free writing. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Where is your peace place?

Hey everyone! Where is your peace place? Comment below your peace place.

Volleyball takes my mind off anything that’s happening in this world, I get so into it that it’s almost as if problems in my life were non-exsistent.

When I swim I get lost in the movement and counting laps. Of course there will be my coach yelling to motivate us, and swimmers saying “Ow! Foot cramp!”. I get those a lot haha.

People ask me how I like swim practice, I just answer I love to swim. Until now, I realize there are more reasons why I love swimming.

I love volleyball to but I have to call the ball (Setter always gets second ball!) so I can’t just drift away, you always have to stay sharp.

In swimming it’s just you, the people in your lane, and your coach. No need to call for the ball just swim. The water is quiet and all you here is the “Slosh slosh” of the bodies cutting through it.

My other peace place, is what I’m doing right now. Listening to music and just tuning out the rest of the world.

You forget about everything and just focus on the lyrics. Not just what they are saying but the meaning.

My favorite part of the day is when I get to listen to music. It’s almost as if no one is there anymore and it’s just you, your earbuds, and the song.

Right now I’m listening to Wild Things by Alessia Cara. I want you to listen to it and hear the lyrics, not only the words but the meaning like I said before.

Comment below what you heard, and what your peace place is!

Chocolate Croissants

Hi bloggers! I love chocolate, as most of you know. So I thought, why not do chocolate croissants? Let’s save you some time and use pre-made dough.

Ingredients:

  • Any pre-made dough, I use Pillsbury Croissant dough
  • Chocolate chips, I use Nestle or when I want big chips I use Hershey’s mini kisses

That’s all! Since I use the Pillsbury Croissant dough, they are already in triangles.

350 degrees Fahrenheit, for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool a little because trust me, I’ve ate one before it cooled. It didn’t end so well… Enjoy!

Hershey Park

What’s up everybody, today is a rainy day but I’m gonna stay positive no matter how much the rain gives me a headache! Any new recipes you wanna share? Comment below for more and more and more! I love your feedback so thanks, and I hope you continue to visit and stop by anytime!!!

I really like this font so you might see it a while it’s called “Just Another Hand” for those bloggers out there who are also picking up on this font. Yup, I know I’m probably sounding really weird but whatever, it’s a Wednesday what are ya gonna do about it?

So really, really soon I’m going to be going to Hershey park with all of 8th grade and get to perform at a private school. I just thought maybe today would be a good day to post about chocolate once again!

Stop by this chocolate lover’s blog about politics: Anonymous News Reporter

Hershey’s Chocolate is such a famous brand, but why? Why do we all go crazy for Hershey’s when we all seem to love brands from out of the country like Lindt or Godiva?

My answer is Hershey’s is made in the USA which gives us a safer feel. But seriously I LOVE Godiva and Lindt chocolate.

Leave a comment below on your take!

It literally kills me to see this delicous, ooey gooey picture like this, but at least I  will be getting to see it in person soon!
